In the first phase of our new strategic planning process, we established a renewed <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1vfrQViYcraVRRfYmO5_kO9gmkBkdCO2a\/edit?usp=sharing&amp;ouid=106324471998132890975&amp;rtpof=true&amp;sd=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Vision, and Mission and articulated our core values.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our theme for 2025 is Advocacy. <\/strong>The NWHCS is launching the New Westminster Advocacy Network as a community engagement tool to empower residents with the resources and information needed to advocate for a wide range of issues (aligned with the organization\u2019s new Vision and Mission). This strategic initiative aims to streamline advocacy efforts, fostering collaboration to generate momentum and encourage diverse ideas and strategies. The goal is to create innovative, effective solutions that lead to lasting, tangible change. For HAW 2025, we will be spotlighting&nbsp;<strong>Permanent Supportive Housing<\/strong>, so stay tuned!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Permanent Supportive Housing (In progress)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is Permanent Supportive Housing?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Permanent supportive housing includes embedded services as well as wraparound 24\/7 supports that aim to support residents to maintain their tenancies and foster positive health and wellbeing. Permanent supportive housing units serve a variety of groups, including people who are unhoused, people requiring mental health or substance use supports, people transitioning out of the criminal ju<em>stice system, and people with disabilities.
