World Food Day is Friday October 16, 2020.
World Food Day 2020 will be no ordinary World Food Day, and we need anything but ordinary action. As countries around the world suffer the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, #WorldFoodDay is launching a call for global solidarity to help the most vulnerable people to recover and make food systems more sustainable and resilient to shocks.
Visit the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN to learn more about World Food Day.
Here, in New Westminster, we are looking for innovative ideas on how we can engage the community on World Food Day, which also happens to fall at the end of Homelessness Action Week this year. While traditional in person events may not be possible, there are many ways that the community can get involved.
